Jiu Jitsu Six-Week Intro Program

You have been reading information about Jiu Jitsu.  You already know that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a great way to learn self-defense, lose weight, gain muscle strength, and make lifelong friends.  You may even be wondering how you would do in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitions.  More importantly, you know that Breakaway Jiu Jitsu is the place to be if you want to train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

The decision seems to be made that you want to try it out, but as with anything new, you may be a little nervous about starting something so new.  When you join a baseball or football team, you tend to at least know the basics before you are put out on the field.  Starting a martial arts program can be very different since most new students will not have any base knowledge of Jiu Jitsu.

At Breakaway Jiu Jitsu studios, we help you get over your nervousness several ways.  First, part of your journey into BJJ helps others on their journey.

Forging new friendships with fellow Jiu Jitsu students goes far beyond finding out that you both like camping and taking float trips on the weekends.  The bonds formed are also from helping each other learn Jiu Jitsu techniques and customizing those moves to work better for your specific body strength and abilities.  You are supporting and encouraging other students, just as they are for you.  We not only strive to perfect our own skills but also celebrate the progress of our friends.

Breakaway Studios offers a Six-Week Introductory Program to help new students decide if Jiu Jitsu is a good fit for them.  Six weeks of training will give you time to see that BJJ is customizable to each person, depending upon their physical abilities and body dimensions.  The student has a chance to meet the regulars at our studio, hear their experiences, and try out some of the techniques.

If safety and injury concerns are an issue, the instructors at Breakaway are experts at tailoring individual training to the level of expertise of the student.  When involved in rolling (the term for one-on-one matches), either competitor can tap out if needed.

The Six-Week Introductory Program is the perfect answer for anyone with worries about how well BJJ will fit into their life.  Click on the link on the Home page for more information.  You never know how much your life could change for the positive just by giving Brazilian Jiu Jitsu a try.
